Santa Margherita Ligure is located in the Gulf of Tigullio, on the East Coast (Riviera di Levante) in Liguria, 30 km from Genoa.
It is a lovely village characterized by the pastel colors of the painted facades of its houses and surrounded by lush vegetation that covers the forests of pine alternating with olive and citrus groves.
In "Santa" welcome elegant buildings and roads with admirable "risseu" between the downtown streets, with many boutiques.
It's one of the capitals of tourism and even gastronomy, thanks to a natural gift: the prawns red Santa Margherita.
To visit Villa Durazzo-Centurion with the XVII century large park in which there is an interesting Italian garden with risseu, the Castle of Santa Margherita Ligure at the promenade (1550) and the ancient Abbey of Cervara monastery in 1361 overlooking the sea with beautiful landscaped gardens.
"Santa" is the perfect starting point to visit the beautiful and unique 5 Terre.
PARK PORTOFINO: coastal protected area showing scenes and landscapes among the most famous in the world, the bottom of the sea has a special habitats formed by Posidonia Oceanica, coral formations and caves.
Its geomorphology and microclimates features offer, in a limited territory, an extremely different.
In a few steps, ranging from fresh Apennine woods of the northern slope we move to the Mediterranean world above the cliffs, the civilization of the chestnut to the olive tree, the farming traditions in the activities related to the sea and the traditional fishing.
Protected since 1935, the Park hosts one of the largest concentrations of flora in the Mediterranean, a wide variety of birds and invertebrates as well as important historical and architectural treasures.

SESTRI LEVANTE: is one of the last places that overlook the east of the Tigullio Gulf, east of Genoa.
It sets near a rocky promontory that is usually called "the island", which, towards the sea, is joined to the mainland by an isthmus and divides the "Bay of Fables", where it provides the marina and whose name was attributed by the writer Hans Christian Andersen who stayed here in 1833, from the smaller but more suggestive "Bay of Silence".
CINQUE TERRE: the Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the east coast of Liguria(Riviera di levante) between Punta Mesco and Punta Montenero, in which there are five villages or, as it was in ancient times, lands, listed here from west to east: Monterosso al Mare , Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore.
PORTOVENERE: the village of Porto Venere is located at the southern tip of a peninsula, which, breaking away from the jagged coastline of the Riviera di Levante, goes to form the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia or also called "Gulf of Poets". At the end of this peninsula there are three small islands: the Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto.
Since 1997, the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, were included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
